MZUDO Core Principle
Established on 10th November 2016, Mzuzu Disability Organization (MZUDO) is a women-led civil society organization based in Mzuzu City. We are committed to advocating for the rights and full inclusion of women and girls with disabilities across all sectors of life.
With a strong presence across six districts in Northern Malawi, MZUDO ensures that women and girls with disabilities are not only heard, but actively involved in shaping the policies, programs, and community initiatives that affect their lives.

Advocating for accessible, inclusive health services that address the unique needs of women and girls with disabilities, including reproductive health rights.
Ensuring women and girls with disabilities are not left behind in climate change actions and disaster risk reduction across Northern Malawi.
Promoting accessible school environments, disability-friendly teaching materials, and teacher training so girls with disabilities can thrive academically.
Vocational training, entrepreneurship support, and access to inclusive financial services to enable sustainable livelihoods for women with disabilities.
Participatory research involving women with disabilities to generate evidence that shapes policies, programs, and community development initiatives.
Advocating for disability-responsive social safety nets, accessible public services, and inclusive participation in community and development activities.
Empower women and girls with disabilities in Malawi by promoting their full inclusion, participation, and leadership in all areas of social, economic, and environmental life through advocacy, capacity building, and inclusive development programs.
A just and inclusive society where women and girls with disabilities in Mzuzu and beyond actively participate, lead, and thrive in all aspects of life — including social programs, climate action, education, health, research, justice, and economic empowerment.
